What is the Community Living Alliance Medical Assistance Personal Care Program?The Wisconsin Medical Assistance (MA) program offers a benefit which allows MA certified agencies to provide personal care services to consumers who choose this option. These services include personal care such as bathing and dressing, as well as some light housekeeping that is directly related to the consumers' care. Community Living Alliance (CLA) is MA certified and offers you the choice of the Medical Assistance Personal Care (MAPC) Program when selecting your personal care provider. Who is eligible?
A Consumer Oriented ProgramOur MAPC Program has been providing personal care services since 1989. The MAPC Program staff have recruited, trained, and placed hundreds of personal living assistants(PLAs) with consumers in Dane County. Our experienced Program staff has made it possible for people with disabilities to live and participate in their community. Because we believe that people with disabilities have the right to control their own lives, consumers will train their own PLAs (with the assistance of a Registered Nurse) and will schedule their own PLAs.
